Umling La Pass Overview
Umling La is the world’s highest motorable pass (5,799m) located in the Changthang region of Ladakh near the Indo-Tibet border. The route features extreme altitude, thin air, high UV exposure, and a mix of smooth BRO tarmac and gravel sections.

Important Altitude Warnings
The race takes place between 4,100m and 5,800m. High-altitude risks include AMS, HAPE, HACE, dehydration, and hypothermia.
Mandatory: Pre-medical certificate.
Medical Checkups: Before bib distribution & before race start.
Only medically cleared runners may run.
Mandatory acclimatization: Leh (6 days) + Koyul (3 days before race).
